In mid-March, the penultimate meeting of the DECADES project took place. Thanks to the participation of Sustainable Momentum SL, the consortium had the unique opportunity to hold the meeting in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
In addition to two intensive and highly productive days featuring presentations by the doctoral researchers and impressive progress updates from the individual subprojects, the meeting also provided valuable opportunities for personal exchange and networking. Following the official program, the participants explored the island together. A tour through the northern part of Gran Canaria offered fascinating insights into the island’s volcanic origins, its remarkable natural landscapes, and local island life.
As the host, Pablo Domingues de Maria enthusiastically took on the role of tour guide as well. Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the island’s history, culture, and geology, all participants gained valuable insights and experienced Gran Canaria from a unique perspective.
